Pre-requisites: BIOL2260, BIOL2261, PNSG1509, PNSG1512, PNSG1514, PSYC2222. This course incorporates the nursing process, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality improvement, professional identity and behavior, patient-centered and relationship-centered care, nursing judgment, evidence-based practice, managing care of the individual patient, informatics, and technology into the care of adults and older adults with complex and comorbid health disorders. Principles of pathophysiology, nutrition and pharmacology are applied. A lab component includes focused assessments and advanced nursing skills that support course concepts.
