Pre-req: DSET1132 and DSET1136. This course is designed to give students an understanding of medium- and heavy-duty diesel engines manufactured by, but not limited to, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Navistar, Volvo and Mercedes Benz. Areas of study include base engine components, intake and exhaust systems, emission control devices, lubrication systems, cooling systems and fuel systems.
