Emphasis is placed on fire and emergency service, ethics, and leadership from the perspective of the company officer as described in the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) 1021 Fire Officer Professional Qualifications 2009 Edition for state certification for Fire Officer I and Fire Officer II.
