This course introduces students to fundamental principles of drawing. Projects emphasize drawing through observation of nature, still life, and the human form. Through course assignments, students will improve their drawing skills, engage in creative problem solving, and broaden knowledge of the cultural and historical relevance of drawing. Students will also analyze the effectiveness of personal artwork and the work of others using terms and criteria common to art.
