This course will assist the Licensed Practical Nurse in their development as a caregiver and advocate for patients with psychosocial concerns. Students will apply a holistic approach to individuals, families, and groups experiencing mental health issues while integrating physiological, nutritional, pharmacological, and other treatment modality concepts. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practice and cultural, ethical, and legal concepts.
