This course will focus on the understanding of human behavior and assist in developing skills in the care of clients with psychiatric and social/behavioral problems. Students will explore common psychiatric and behavioral disorders as well as promote and maintain the mental health of individuals. Application of pathophysiology, nutrition, and pharmacology concepts are applied to common diseases discussed in the course.
