This course provides training and experience in music studio recording and editing techniques. Classroom instruction is combined with hands-on studio experience. Topics covered include proper care and use of studio equipment; tracking, mixing, and mastering of digital audio; and microphone selection and placement. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate proper care and use of studio equipment, including microphone choice and placement for a variety of sound sources. 2. Create solo and small ensemble recordings in a studio environment. 3. Edit, produce and master audio using a digital audio workstation. Prerequisites: MUSC 2180. SP
