Designed for students desiring to learn about first aid, including instruction in the principles and practices in emergency care and first aid procedures for injuries and safety precautions. Successful completers will be certified through the American Red Cross in CPR and First Aid. **COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES (CLOs) At the successful conclusion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Explain the process of preventing potential threatening situations in various scenarios. 2. Determine appropriate action in an emergency situation. 3. Assess emergent situations and apply knowledge of first aid procedures by deciding the level of intervention for administering care. 4.
