This course entails a study of the concept of sustainability and will examine why knowledge ofsustainability principles and initiatives are important engineering tools. Concepts including lifecycle thinking and analysis, industrial ecology, and the use of energy and mass balances insustainable system design will be examined.Three hours of lecture per week.
