Description:

This course involves independent study and research for advanced students in the field of the major under the direction of a staff member. A research paper at a level significantly beyond a term paper is required; it must also be presented orally at an appropriate off-campus science meeting. Requirements: Written approval of the department chairperson is required. Candidates for Independent Research must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and be of upper class standing.
