This course is designed to provide working knowledge of pumping apparatus and provide students an opportunity to apply water hydraulic principles. Fire pump operation and associated accessories will be covered. It will introduce the student to apparatus maintenance and necessary record keeping. Students are encouraged to develop attitudes and skills necessary for safe driving and operation of a pumper. This course follows the NFPA 1002 Standard for apparatus operators. (Prereq: Completed or taking concurrently with FRPT1285 or instructor approval) (EP) 1 cr
