This course provides basic training in IPC recommended (international trade association for Electronics Manufacturing) procedures for assembly, soldering and inspection of electronic components. The student will be introduced to IPC recommended techniques for assembling, soldering and inspecting through hole, SMD, Wires & Terminals. The course has both a discussion and a hands-on component. The hands-on activities are an opportunity to practice the IPC recommended techniques discussed in the lectures. (Prereq: None) (EP) 2 cr
