This course aligns with the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council's (MSSC) assessment and certification system for Manufacturing Processes. This course will expose the student to basic principles of manufacturing including: mechanical power, hand tools, basic machining concepts, automation, and production planning and workflow. The curriculum is based upon federally endorsed national standards for production workers emphasizing lean manufacturing principles, basic supply chain management, communication skills, and customer service. Students will take the MSSC Manufacturing Processes and Production 4.0 certification exam upon the completion of the course content. (Prereq: None) (BP/EP) 2 cr
