This course introduces concepts of basic human needs and the function of the nursing assistant in long term care and or home health care. Basic nursing skills will be demonstrated and practiced and then return demonstrated to instructor online. Upon successful completion of classroom studies, the student will be prepared to challenge the Nursing Assistant exam, NNAAP, in order to be placed on the Nursing Assistant Registry. This is not a Minnesota State approved program. The intention is to give students the basic knowledge and skills for entry level nursing assistant duties. Prerequisites: None. Individuals who provide direct contact services to clients of licensed facilities are required to have complete criminal background studies. Disqualified persons will not be permitted to work in these facilities. ***This is not a Minnesota State approved program.***
