(Prereq: grade of C or better in ENGL A101 and A102) This course will focus on what it means to be a freelance writer, including how to analyze and produce some of the most common freelance writing genres (such as technical instructions, web copy, resumes, and online articles), how to edit and proofread work, how to avoid pitfalls and stay organized, how to locate and secure clients, how to market a skillset, and how to produce an effective online portfolio.
