Covers the social services, family and community relationships and residents??? rights as they pertain to the nursing facility. This course covers an overview of social work to include scope of practice, understanding of regulations and the importance of family involvement in care and community to care for the elderly. This course is one of 16 required course modules, mandated by the PA State Board of Nursing Home Administrators, that make up the 120-hour Nursing Home Administrator certificate program for those desiring to become a nursing home administrator. This course may be taken as part of the full program or as a standalone for those individuals desiring continuing education units.
