Provides basic knowledge about a handgun. Students are taught nomenclature of the pistol and handgun, firearms safety and storage. The course topics also show proper loading and unloading of firearms along with the fundamentals of marksmanship. This two-hour online course is designed for the civilian who is new to handgun ownership and is the precursor to HACC???s Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian (In-person Range) course. NOTE: After completing this course, it is highly recommended that the student schedule the Basic Handgun Marksmanship and Safety for Civilian (In-person Range) course immediately to get the most out of each ??basic?? course.
