Participants will become acquainted with the types of elevator installation and the components of the installations. The use of elevators during a fire will be discussed, as well as the proper procedures for handling of other elevator incidents not involving fire. Elevator Rescue equipment will be introduced and safety equipment, field assembled equipment as generally carried by rescue companies. A strong orientation to patient care and associated problems will be utilized.
