Emphasizes the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system and its role in providing the immediate care of life- threatening injuries or illness, controlling the scene, and preparing for ambulance the arrival. This course is divided into the following sections: Preparatory, Airway, Patient Assessment, Medical, Trauma, Special Patient Populations and EMS Operations. This course is intended as the primary education for individuals who are most often the first to arrive at the scene of a trauma or medical emergency.
