Attempts to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. This Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. Students are first taught the course content online using Heartcode PALS. Access is granted to the required online portion with purchase of Heartcode PALS at www.onlineaha.org. Student must bring certificate of successful completion of the online portion to the classroom session.
