This course is designed to introduce students to the internal combustion engine. In this class, students will study the principles of four stroke engine operation and the various systems typically found on a small gasoline lawn mower engine. Students will gain a thorough understanding of engine operation through tasks designed to lead the student through disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling a small gasoline engine. This course is designed as a introductory class for students with or without previous mechanical knowledge.
