This course covers how to service semi-floating and full-floating rear drive axles. The participants will review the operation prop shaft and differentials in order to learn how to diagnose the rear axle components and provide the correct service. Using the overhaul procedures and the assembly and disassembly installation procedures for the semi- and full-floating rear drive axles, the participants will learn how to repair the rear axle. In the hands-on portion of the course, participants will overhaul semi- and full-floating rear axles, as well as the Getrag and independent differentials, and how to assemble/disassemble U-joints.
