Focuses on the types, characteristics, and operation of manual and electronic shift transfer cases as well as the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vicsous clutch style transfer case. Some diagnostic practices are also described in this course. Upon completion of this course the technician is able to identify the characteristics of the viscous and mechanical/electronic transfer cases. Diagnose using the SBD process. Diagnose a transfer case using an operational test. Diagnose using sympton-based diagnostics.
