This Capstone course is designed to demonstrate a student's accumulated knowledge and training of the learning objectives in the Cinema Production Program. Students apply their cumulative skills in the creation of long-form, well-researched written thesis project and presentation with a focus on cinema arts. Students will also finalize their individual professional portfolios, which include a resume, cover letter, demo reel, and web presence. Overall the course will cover a spectrum of topics needed to transition form being a student to creating a professional career. Prerequisite: Senior standing. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Analyze and critique an area in Cinema Arts that focuses on post-graduation interests. (2) Prepare a professional quality thesis project and presentation providing an overview of the research conducted. (3) Employ written communication skills in order to create a cover letter and resume. (4) Produce a professional-level creative demo reel and web presence that demonstrates the foundational skills and craft of a working professional in Cinema Arts.
