This course examines the role and history of music in film, television, and other media. Students will study the relationship between imagery and music, as well as the relationship between a director and a composer. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, a student will be able to: 1) Articulate the role of music score in film, television, and other media. 2) Distinguish the work of well-known filrm and tv composers and composer-director collaborations. 3) Demonstrate appropriate and effective choices in the use of music. 4) Communicate thematic and aesthetic intentions clearly with composer.
