Course Description: Principles of Acting for Musical Theatre II is part two of a two semester course in which the student will learn repertoire and explore the skills required for the various styles of musical theater as it pertains to Musical Theatre auditions. Prerequisite: MUS 123, MUS 124 or permission from the chair. Course Objectives 1. Identify various styles of repertoire 2. Demonstrate two 16 bar cuts of songs appropriate for musical theatre auditions 3. Demonstrate two 32 bar cuts of songs appropriate for musical theatre auditions 4.Establish modes of preparation and technique for musical theatre auditions
