A year long course with an introduction to body awareness through various techniques in order to free habitual habits of tensions and increase range and freedom of expression for the actor. For Acting and Performance & Practices majors only. Course Objectives (1) Define and identify basic anatomy of the body (2) Adopt a specific warmup to be used before rehearsal and performance (3) Define and use basic skills in stage movement (4) Reduce patterns of tension which block or constrict movement (5) Integrate movement skills with acting skills
