1510. Exploring Critical Questions in LASS. The ability to gather and evaluate information, uses it to find solutions to problems and then communicate the findings to others, are the very skills that define liberal arts and social sciences majors and prepare them to become engaged local and global citizens in diverse academic, cultural, and professional contexts. This course will introduce students to the types of intellectual questions and local and global issues posed by researchers in our College. For instance, how do economists address issues of poverty as opposed to historians or sociologists. This course fulfills the general education first-year experience requirement. 3 s.h.
