4893. Independent Study in Dance. Independent work in dance practice, pedagogy, composition, or theory under faculty guidance. Intended to allow the student to broaden their experience and expertise in an artistic or academic area of dance beyond the published coursework. May substitute for DNCE 3765 OR 4865 in the dance major, should the student propose an appropriate topic and demonstrate equivalent relevance and rigor. Prereq.: Permission of the instructor. 1-3 s.h.
