This course will provide an overview of the essential theoretical and practical aspects of the histology lab. The student will be introduced to the correlation of cells, tissues and organ systems in histological practices. This course includes and introduction to the lab workflow, OSHA safety regulations, instumentation, fixatives, stains, biological, chemical and hazards. The student will acquire the essential concepts of approved standards of practice needed to work safely in the lab.
