In this course, teacher candidates will learn to develop and use a range of inclusive assessments that align with STEM discipline content standards. They will learn to identify the characteristics of assessments that are fair, unbiased, and allow for reliable outcomes and valid interpretations of those outcomes. They will develop the skills to provide students with formative feedback and how to guide students in self-evaluation and goal setting. In addition, teacher candidates will learn how to make instructional decisions--independently and in collaboration with their colleagues--informed by the data revealed from annual state, periodic district benchmark and their own ongoing classroom-level testing.
