This course is the first in a four part series and introduces students to the concepts of identifying and finding solutions for process operating problems. Topics include process instrumentation and troubleshooting, process symbols and diagrams, process equipment, control loops, statistics, quality tools, and troubleshooting techniques. The course also introduces students to the process technician's role in data collection and analysis, cause-effect relationships, and reasoning. 1-1-1 Pre-requisite: PTEC 200 or PTEC 253
