CYB 205 - Cyber Security Design Principles This is the first course in the 2-course information security fundamentals series that introduces the student to security design principles and cryptography essentials. This course establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role. Students will learn todays best practices for risk management and risk mitigation, including the ability to identify and address security threats, attacks and vulnerabilities. After completing the two information security courses, the student will be ready to take the CompTIA Security+ Certification exam. 3 credits Prerequisite: CYB105
