CJS425 This course will attempt to understand the motives, methods and states of mind of both serial and mass murderers. We will discuss the profiles of various killers and their victims, as well as the relevant criminological and victimological theories. Additionally, students will analyze the publics and the criminal justice systems response to the development of the Serial/Mass murderer and how determine the best methods to utilize with regard to prevention, intervention, and/or punishment of these offenders. 3 cr. Prerequisite: ENG105
