This course covers advanced theories and accounting standards for related business units. Students will gain an understanding of the various business combinations, be able to account for subsidiaries, complete consolidated financial statements, prepare entries for intercompany transactions, and discuss minority interests. In addition, students will learn accounting principles unique to foreign affairs including the accounting for foreign currency transactions, and the translation of foreign currency financial statements.
