Description:
This course is designed to examine procedures employed in the referral, screening, assessment, identification, and placement of exceptional children. Also included is the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure appropriate educational programming. Students will have the opportunity to examine and administer formal and informal assessments and develop an IEP. Alternative assessment techniques will also be explored. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in EDUC 201 or permission of instructor.
