As a continuation of CHEM 213, this laboratory course equips the student with synthetic experience at an intermediate level while incorporating topics from the lecture course (CHEM 212) such as stereochemistry, stereoselectivity, functional group transformations, protecting groups, proton FT-NMR, GC and FT-IR spectroscopy, and multi-step synthesis.Three and one-half hours laboratory.
