This second-semester course builds on skills developed in CHEM 121. By inquiring about particle action and interaction, theoretical models are developed and chemical behavior is described within the context of gas laws, thermochemistry, kinetics, equilibrium, acid-base theory, complex ions, entropy and free energy, electrochemistry, and nuclear reactions.
