Basic concepts of ecology will be presented in sufficient detail to allow an examination of our environmental problems within an ecological worldview. There will be an emphasis on developing stewardship lifestyles. The laboratory will include field studies of terrestrial and aquatic communities and will examine pollution abatement systems.
