This course considers important historical and theological questions engaged by the Former Prophets (Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings) in comparison with the archaeological record and the Bible's other historical books (Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah). This historical narrative will provide a framework for contextualizing the messages and themes of the Latter Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, and the twelve Minor Prophets)."
