The Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician course is designed to prepare students to build on the concepts learned in the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course and safely provide advanced medical interventions for medical and trauma emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a certificate of completion, be able to sit for the State of WY and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician final exam, apply to the State of WY for IEMT licensure. This advanced level training enables students to seek employment in the field of pre-hospital emergency medicine as paid or volunteer providers and provides an important professional link into other allied health professions.
