This course is designed to give students an in-depth knowledge of equine nutrient requirements and how they affect a horse?s performance. This course involves the analysis of equine digestive systems including, metabolic and digestive disorders. The students also evaluate nutritive needs as they relate to feed composition, vitamins and mineral nutrition, and general feeding and management.
