Description:
Students engage in an in-depth study of a relevant topic in agriculture or rangeland ecology. Students engage in critical thinking and cooperative, collaborative work on current topics and/or topics of historical importance to agriculture or rangeland ecology. Sustainable food production, small-farming, local marketing, land use planning, government programs, and research are also addressed. The capstone project requires students to apply learned knowledge, gather new information from professionals, and perform research resulting in a written report and a capstone presentation. Prerequisite: Students graduating from the agriculture program and approval of their adviser.
