Continuing emphasis will be placed on the theories of riding correct western horsemanship including centered riding, correct aids and balances in the saddle. Students will continue to practice and apply equine safety rules, grooming techniques and health management. Student will develop strength and feel for riding through a series of mounted and un-mounted exercises. Student is required to have a sound, broke horse for this course. Prerequisites: Admittance to the Equine Riding Program and EQST 1700 Riding I. Students must audit one weekend clinic or horse show to pass this course. (1 hr lec, 3 hrs lab, 1 hr arr lab)
