Description:
Students will develop the aeronautical knowledge required for the operations of high perfromance, complex and multi-engine aircraft to include multi engine aerodynamics, performance and limitations. The students will learn about the operation of advanced aircraft systems and their functions. Other topics of study include regulations, meteorolog, pilotage, dead reckoning navigation aids, aeronautical decision making, high altitude operation and commercial maneuvers. Students will research opportunities within the aviation industry that are aligned with their interest. A presentation will be prepared and delivered to peers concerning the research. The course will consist of approximately 45 hours of instruction. Prerequisite: Commercial Pilot Certificate or consent of instructor and successful completion of at least 30 credit hours. (3 hrs lec)
