Description:
Students learn to assemble, program, and operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and develop knowledge of PLC industrial system components. Students learn to identify PLCs hardware and software interface for input and output of system components. Students construct computer programs to control system operation. Students apply this knowledge to evaluate the components of the PLC for any required maintenance. All course exercises are performed in a lab environment. Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in IST 1810.
