Students explore the hardware and software used to control automated industrial equipment. Students identify, classify and predict the operational characteristics of fixed and modular programmable logic controllers. Students must concurrently enroll in IST 1811 to apply the topics of this course in a hands-on environment. Prerequisite: Completion of IST 1712. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in IST 1811.
