This course examines tribal government resource management, economic development and business entrepreneurship to sustain tribal nations. The course emphasizes the breadth of decision making and knowledge base needed as a tribal leader to manage tribal natural resources, economic ventures, develop tribal and individual businesses within Indian communities. There is not "one size fits all" hence cases studies and simulation derived from field research and experience are utilized to engage students in the multidimensional settings that confront native societies.
