CNTK 1875 Wood Carving & Turning (1L,2LB,2CR)This course covers the fundamentals of turning and of wood carving as related to furniture making. Topics include wood-forming, chip carving, high-relief carving and bas-carving. Emphasis is placed on selection and safe use of tools, tool sharpening and carving techniques of both hand and power tool carving. Students will learn skills in the Green-wood turning and segmented turning will be introduced.
