SPAN 1010 First Year Spanish I (4L,4CR) [E] This course is intended for students who have never studied Spanish at the college level. Students will learn the fundamentals of the Spanish language through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities of the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) Novice High Level. This course will also introduce students to the culture of various Spanish-speaking countries. Language laboratory times are required as needed. Students who want to take for credit the next course in the sequence must complete this course with grade of a 'C' or better.
